Behind the Scenes at Delivery Hero HQ

Alice Mrongovius Six Impossible Things Before Breakfast

Alice Mrongovius – Delivery Hero

Sometimes it’s cool to go behind the scenes to see what makes Delivery Hero tick! Today we’d like to introduce Alice Mrongovius, Delivery Hero’s SEO (Search Engine Optimisation) team coordinator and blog wrangler extraordinaire.

What do you like about working at Delivery Hero?
I love working in start-ups! Everyday there are new challenges and with such an international team, there is always someone with a crazy, cool idea or a fresh take on solving a problem.  Plus I get to share my knowledge and love for innovation in search marketing… and ordering home delivery is now officially research :)

We hear you’re also an artist, tell us about your artwork
I got started making comic books when I was in high school – no superheroes though! This then  developed into larger pieces and installations, but you can still see the comics influence.  Now that I have finished art school I mostly make work around the concept of psychogeographies, (the imprint of urban space on the psyche) and also write for my blog about art, innovation and communication.

Your blog sounds interesting, what’s it about?
My blog is titled ‘Six Impossible things before breakfast‘ which is a quote from ‘Alice through the looking glass’ by Lewis Carrol. I am really curious about disruptive innovation and the potential for creating not only new products and markets but also new social and cultural contexts.  Plus I think there are some really interesting similarities between artists, innovators and entrepreneurs.

What’s your favourite takeaway?
Laksa, laksa, laksa…  totally obsessed. When I’m in Melbourne my favourite place is Laksa King in Kensington, and in Sydney it’s Malaysian Noodles House.

Ok, Alice…you’ve done pretty well so far, but now it’s time for the really hard questions!

“Who would win in a fight between Pizza and Sushi?”
Sushi for sure, can’t imagine a samurai eating pizza.  Plus you could summon the army of sushi shaped novelty items… hmmm the best one I recently saw was a nigiri costume for your cat!

Who is your favourite superhero and why?
Does Tank Girl count as a superhero?  She’s Aussie, rides a tank through the desert with her mates and is a badass.

Thanks for your time, Alice, it’s great to get an insight into the workings of Delivery Hero!

What did you guys think of the interview? Would Sushi really beat Pizza? Let us know in the comments, we’d love to hear from you!

There´s no way sushi could ever beat pizza! Not even being backed up by Tank Girl could help sushi win this battle!

    • DeliveryHeroAU

You know what, Alex? We’re just gonna have to order both and see what happens:)

    • DeliveryHeroAU

I wonder if anyone’s made a sushi pizza, Emmalu,…could be the best of both worlds:)

  • Marcy

    laksa all the way!

    • DeliveryHeroAU

Totally, Marcy, we reckon Laksa is just sitting on the sidelines chilling out while Sushi and Pizza go at it:)
