Restaurant of the week: Pasha’s Turkish Restaurant, Collingwood

We would like to present our next restaurant of the week to you. This time it’s a true Ottoman jewel right in the middle of Melbourne: Pasha’s Turkish Restaurant in Collingwood.

When you enter this restaurant you will feel as if you just stepped into a traditional Turkish tent from the times of the Ancient Ottoman Empire. The low seating and original carpets set the vibe of this rustic place. The relaxed atmosphere sets the mood for the delicousness that is about to arrive at your table. Pasha’s is known for baking their own flat Pita bread daily- a side you have to have with any meal!

We love the huge selection of Turkish Mezze dishes, so much so we couldn’t pick just one. Luckily the authentic Turkish way is to go is to order different mezze dishes and share them with your friends because that’s what this Mediterranean cuisine is all about: enjoying a relaxing and communal meal with the people that are important to you and taking enough time to enjoy the many different and exotic flavours this cuisine has to offer!

Pasha’s Turkish Restaurant cooks all it’s meats and skewers over a grill fired with charcoal in their Halal kitchen. If you visit this restaurant you should definitely consider odering the seafood platter in which seafood chef Hakki takes special pride. He prepares it freshly with rock ling fish, Pacific Blue-Eyes, prawns, calamari and more. But vegetarians will find their way as well. The menu offers more than 25 meat-free choices such as spinach pides with feta, rolls made out of cabbage, hand-made dolma with vine leaves or delicious koftas with red lentils.
